Here’s a story that will make you wince. Whether you’re a car lover or not. The sight of a Ferrari smashed up is enough to depress anyone. But when the man responsible for the crash hired the Italian supercar just hours before for a wedding and was revving it about, showing off, somehow it’s all the more depressing…
He must have felt like The Daddy when he laid out almost $10,000 to hire the car in Bedfordshire, England. And then like a damn fool later that day after he’d driven it straight into the side of a house.
You won’t be surprised to learn that the car was written off by insurers pretty quickly… In fact, it took the company less than three minutes…
The flash car’s co-owner, 26 year-old Jamie Ford from Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, England, said:
“When I saw what had happened I was absolutely devastated. They have done a really good job of crashing it and writing it off. I just wish people had more respect for super cars. People need to realise that they are not invincible. We can deal with scratches and little dents, but this is absolutely gutting.”
No one’s been arrested after the incident. Luckily for the guy who stacked the car – not being able to handle a supercar isn’t yet a crime.
