‘Chocolate sniffing’. No, it’s not a weird new kinky thing – it’s what thousands of Europeans are doing on nights out to get a high. It’s especially popular in Germany, where some clubs even have ‘cocoa only’ night where no drink is served, people just drink, snort and swallow chocolate ‘drugs‘…
A fancy chocolate maker first discovered that cocoa could get you high. Belgian chocolatier Dominique Persoone made the little device for a party for The Rolling Stones back in 2007. And now it’s catching on.
Dr. Jordan Josephson, an ear, nose and throat specialist at Lenox Hill Hospital say this though: “Snorting chocolate powder is not safe, because the powder is perceived by the nose as a foreign toxic substance. Putting any foreign bodies — including smoke, cocaine and/or chocolate powder — is not safe and is not advised. I do not advise snorting any powder products.”
Check it out. This is weird:
