By taking out the seemingly unbeatable Fabricio Werdum and becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion. 45,000 fans were were left shocked after Miocic’s heroics. What a moment!
No heavyweight champ has defended the belt more than twice, but the Ohio fighter is adamant that he’ll buck that trend… “Well, I’m a different breed,” Miocic said. “I’m from Cleveland, so that’s about it right there. We’re going to keep it for a while.”
“Fabricio Werdum is tough and he had me guessing,” Miocic goes on to say. “I trained hard, man. He’s quicker than I thought. He was catching me off guard. It was a good shot.”
