It’s the newest craze or trend in the USA’s huge half-billion dollar ‘animal supplements market’. Weed for dogs.

But hold up – we’re not talking about making your dog stoned for a laugh, that’s cruel. We’re talking about helping sick dogs using extracts taken from cannabis.

CBD is the active ingredient in ‘Treatibles‘. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t gives you that euphoric high, which may be pleasant to you and I – but can cause anxiety in animals.

Treatibles founder Julianna Carella says this about her product: “I’m not surprised at all that the space is growing. There’s so many pet owners that would do just about anything to relieve their animals suffering.”

“If the proper administration of marijuana can truly relieve dogs’ pain, then they should be given the same consideration that humans in pain are given, with regular doses to help reduce their misery,” said Daphna Nachminovitch, the Senior Vice President of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

“But it’s an entirely different matter to amuse oneself by getting the cat drunk or the dog high.”

And it really seems to work!
