The UFC Have Finally Announced What’s Going On With Conor McGregor’s Featherweight Title…

When Conor McGregor beat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 he became the first fighter in history of the championships to hold two different world title belts for two different weight limits. And with the Irishman now taking time off for his new kid, the UFC have had to make him vacate the title…

It wasn’t all that long ago McGregor said this about the prospect of one of his belts going somewhere else: “They’re gonna have to gather an army to try and take one of them off of me. One’s gonna be there and one’s gonna be there, and I’m gonna be picking and choosing who I wanna destroy next.”

But it looks as thought he may have either changed his mind or been offered something so appealing he’s prepared to give up the featherweight belt.

The Notorious hasn’t fought at featherweight for more than eleven months. That’s how long ago it was since he put down Jose Aldo. The division has been tied up since then with McGregor stepping up…

But now, it looks like the belt is going back to Aldo again.

Will Aldo keep it for long? We’re not so sure…

As for Conor, we’ve got another six months to wait for him to step back into the ring to defend his other belt. So we’ll have to wait a little while.
