Guns Drawn – The LAPD Get Into Tense Stand-Off With Promotional Call of Duty Statue

After a silent alarm triggered a call, Los Angeles Police Department cops stormed the headquarters of an LA-based independent video game studio called Robotoki this week. Surveillance footage shows the officers, guns drawn, enter the office and freeze as they’re met by a 6ft guy in army fatigues pointing an automatic weapon at them!

But it wasn’t a threat. It wasn’t even a person. The ‘aggressor’? A life-sized statue of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2‘s Simon “Ghost” Riley. You see, the founder of Robotoki, Robert Bowling, helped develop Call of Duty and has a statue as a souvenir reminder.

“I was in my office when they arrived and saw them coming up our stairs, guns drawn,” Bowling says. “They yelled for me to put my hands up and walk towards them slowly, then took me into custody and out of the studio until they cleared the rest of the rooms and floors…”

Luckily, everyone saw the funny side of the situation and no one was hurt. Watch the CCTV footage:
