The murderer of convicted serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, a Wisconsin prison inmate called Christopher Scarver, has spoken out publicly about the incident for the first time recently.
Dahmer, who was jailed with Scarver in 1992, was already a convicted sex offender. When Dahmer was sent to the Columbia Correctional Institution, it was for killing 17 men and boys between the ages of 14 to 33. His disgusting murders spanned a decade from 1978 to 1988 and caused outrage across America and the world. He would rape, torture and dismember his victims, as well as sexually assaulted their corpses and cannibalize them.
Dahmer proved unpopular in prison, often bragging about his foul crimes and even going so far as to construct ‘limbs’ from from which he would cover in ketchup ‘blood’ and eat, while cackling and taunting other inmates.
Here’s what happened on the day Dahmer met his grisly end…
Scarver was left on bathroom cleaner duties with Dahmer and another inmate.
“I turned around, and [Dahmer] and Jesse were kind of laughing under their breath. I looked right into their eyes, and I couldn’t tell which had done it.”
Scarver then tailed Dahmer into a separate room where he confronted the cannibal up close, holding up a newspaper cutting about the serial murderer in his left hand and a small metal bar in his right.
“I asked him if he did those things ’cause I was fiercely disgusted. He was shocked. Yes, he was. He started looking for the door pretty quick. I blocked him. He ended up dead. I put his head down.”
Controversially, Scarver has even implied that prison officials helped facilitate his attack on the cannibal killer.
“They had something to do with what took place, yes. I would need a good attorney to ensure there would not be any retaliation by Wisconsin officials or to get me out of any type of retaliatory position they would put me in,” he went on.
