Playboy magazine. What do you think of when you read those words? Well, like us, Hugh Hefner‘s monthly publication was probably one of the first places you ever glimpsed the female form without clothes. While never all that explicit and often packed with interesting articles, Playboy has still always been synonymous with flesh.
So it’s a pretty weird thing to hear that they plan on featuring a fully-clothed Muslim woman, complete with the head-covering scarf the hijab, as an upcoming cover star… 22 year-old Noor Tagouri is the lady and she claims to be helping close down boundaries. She’s certainly taking a fair amount of abuse from all quarters for her decision.
The Newsy journalist say this about it all: “I don’t read or pay attention to any of it. It’s just negative energy and unhealthy.”
