UFC 196. March 5th. It was a date for the diary and something a lot of fight fans were gearing up for. Although not too many people were predicting an upset, the Conor McGregor Vs. Rafael Dos Anjos fight looked a good ‘un. But it’s not happening anymore. Dos Anjos has pulled out with a broken foot, so the fight has had to be called off. Which is a bit of a shame, we were all looking forward to that.
The Irishman was especially keen to win as he was hoping to become the first ever dual weight champion in the whole of UFC history. But he’s going to have to wait for that opportunity now.
Damn.
Confirmed. Dos Anjos out injured 🙁 #UFC196

But is that it? No fight for The Notorious in March? Or can a replacement be found…?
With dos Anjos out, the only guys I could see taking that fight on 11 days notice are Nate Diaz or Cerrone.
Probably have to be at 170 too.— Cathal Pendred (@Pendred) February 23, 2016
Cerrone or Nate Diaz? We’re hoping for Nate after witnessing him calling out McGregor recently…
When we know, you will. Watch this space.
