Roy Jones Jnr. Knocked Out In The Fourth Round By Enzo Maccarinelli

Every dog has his day, they say, and in the case of forty six year old Roy Jones Jnr. that day has come and gone if this video of his brutal knockout is anything to go by. Jones faced Welshman Enzo Maccarinelli in a non-title cruiserweight bout in Moscow on Saturday. It was Jones Jnr’s first professional fight since being granted Russian citizenship in October.

The former champion in four different weight divisions went toe-to-toe with the big Welshman for the first three rounds, but was then floored when Maccarinelli upped his game in the fourth. Jones managed to stagger to his feet before the count, but a punishing uppercut from Maccarinelli sent him crashing to the canvas for a second and final time.

Many people are now saying Jones Jnr should call it a day. After seeing what happened to him at the hands of the younger man on Saturday, we’re inclined to agree. Nothing lasts forever, Roy. Time to hang up the gloves. Check it out:
