Shocked tourists watched a huge haul of cannabis resin being unloaded onto a crowded Spanish beach recently as brazen drug traffickers dropped off their cargo without a care in the world.
The drop occurred around 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon on the popular Tubalita beach, which is in Manilva, near Estepona. The area is rife with locals and tourists during the day and is especially popular among British holidaymakers. But this didn’t seem to bother the traffickers!
2,000kg of weed (estimated to have a street value of $9m) was unloaded by the men from their rubber dinghy. The beaches on the Costa Del Sol are a common drop point for smugglers from North Africa. But normally they operate a little subtler. Night drops and abandoned rocky areas are normally their M.O.
