Edward Caban is well used to driving drunk people about the place. It’s a fairly sizeable part of his job as an Uber driver. Most of them are fine, they’re just a little woozy and want to chat sh*t. But every now and again, you pick up a douchebag who can’t handle his liquor and gets out of line. That happened recently and the footage makes for some interesting viewing.
The taxi driver picks up the guy who’s clearly blacked out drunk from the start. He becomes combative about directions and the route the driver’s taking and starts sliding over all the seat (he not buckled up, obviously). With no clear idea of his destination, Caban is left with little choice but to end the trip and eject the passenger.
That’s when things get nasty. The drunk dude attacks the Uber driver and starts punching him and pulling his hair (yeah, really…).
So it’s a good job, Caban had turned his camera around to film the inside of the car and secretly got his mace out.
UPDATE: Police later arrested the passenger, Benjamin Golden, on assault charges and public intoxication. He was also sacked from his job as a Taco Bell executive.
“Given the behavior of the individual, it is clear he can no longer work for us,” Taco Bell’s main spokesperson told the press. “We have also offered and encouraged him to seek professional help.”
