Lenexa, Kansas. A would-be robber picked the worst store in the state to try and rob as he came face to face with a clerk who just so happened to be a former Marine Corps Combat Instructor and Black Belt in karate… The thief approached the register with a pack of beers and when the clerk turned away, got out a huge blade.
If he’d picked any other store in the area, he’d no doubt have been able to walk out with a bag full of cash. But he chose to rob Aaron Jacobs. A guy trained in combat. Whoops.
“He was right behind me and he pulls out this 12-inch knife. It looks like he is trying to stick it in my neck,” said Jacobs.
“When you train in martial arts you train your body to react. I don’t think he was expecting to run into someone that was going to be aggressive. I don’t think he thought I was going to throw him into a chip rack and almost break his arm,” he continued.
