42 year-old Mexican singer Patricia Navidad’s had a long and glittering career. As with any entertainer she’s had to take her fair share of knockbacks, disappointments and embarrassments. But nothing could prepare her for what happened on the south of the border TV show, ‘Despierta America’ (Wake Up America) recently…
While belting out the song, ‘Viva Mexico’, the warbler’s sanitary pad fell out and could quite obviously be seen on the floor, between her legs. A momentary grimace appears on her face as she realizes in the midst of the most humiliating moment of her career, but bless her – she soldiers on and keeps singing.
Some people have claimed that Navidad staged the stunt on purpose for publicity, which is – quite frankly – NUTS.
“I want to make it clear that I never threw or would throw the pad. Thank you, I love you. This is not something I should be ashamed of or mocked for. But while judging, bullying and pointing at me, men forget that they are here because of a woman.” She says of the incident.
