Miesha Tate Shocks Holly Holm By Defeating Her At UFC 196!

The world was shocked when Holly Holm defeated Ronda Rousey some months back to be crowned UFC Bantamweight champion. After re-evaluating her skills, everyone then declared her the best women’s mixed martial artist in the world. But her glory was short lived after she was beaten by Miesha Tate last night at UFC 196. A choke-hold in the fifth round put an end to her reign as champ.

The fight almost went to the wire and looked to have been a points victory for Holm, but a dramatic end saw Tate take the bout. It’s not the first time Holm has lost, either. She was knocked out cold by Anne Sophie Mathis before, back in 2011.

“She went out like a champion,” said Tate afterwards. “I have so much respect for this woman. I knew I had to finish the fight, though. I had to find that perfect time. I had to be perfect in the fifth.”

UFC 196 was a night of shocks as the Conor McGregor Vs. Nate Diaz fight saw a surprise outcome too…
