It’s the Pegasus World Cup and it’s just signed up a thoroughbred to advertise it. And with that kind of cash knocking about, you just know that Conor McGregor got paid big bucks to lend his face to the new commercial for it…
“Alexander wept when he had no worlds left to conquer,” says the Irishman when he struts out of his car and up to reporters in the ad. “That’s exactly how I feel. Today I would like to announce to the world that I will become the pound for pound number one jockey on the planet… with the help of my new trainer” (played with style by Jon Lovitz).
We reckon this is proof that McGregor’s got a big career ahead of him post-MMA. Maybe not as a jockey, but certainly as a comic actor…
“How hard can horse racing even be? I’m the greatest at whatever I decide to do,” he goes on. And hey, he IS Irish. And they love being jockeys…
