Changsha airport, China. A 41 year-old Dutch man thought he was about to meet the love of his life. Alexander Pieter Cirk had flown in specially to meet 26 year-old ‘Ms. Zhang’ after the two got chatting on Tinder. But, unfortunately, she never showed. So he waited. And waited. And waited.
And waited…
The dude stayed sat in a chair at the airport for TEN WHOLE DAYS before collapsing from exhaustion and stress and having to be hospitalized. He flew 2,800 miles to meet the woman who never showed up. Turns out – he hadn’t even told her. Well, according to her, anyway.
Cirk has since flown back home to Holland, but apparently the pair are keeping their long-distance relationship going. For some reason. Ah well. The course of true love never did run smooth.
